GMAW welder • Chemung County, New York

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Chemung County, New York. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Willing to work shifts and overtime We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off.
