Now hiring: we are hiring a wet plasterer in Houston County, Alabama. The job is on a busy domestic building site. The role involves float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge; dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings; dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork. Requirements: • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
