Immediate opening: milling machinist (New York)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machinist in Cortland County, New York. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Your main tasks: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm 6+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
