Groundworker — City of Alexandria

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundworker in City of Alexandria, Virginia. The job is on a building construction site. On the job you will handle: • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors Ideal candidate: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Performance bonus on top of base pay.
