Steel fixing chargehand wanted in Aberdeen City

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Aberdeen City, Scotland. Requirements: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations On a typical shift you will place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. £1,750 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
