Sewing machine operator • City of Hampton, Virginia

Join our team: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in City of Hampton, Virginia. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
