Garment machinist — Sussex County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Sussex County, Virginia. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. On the job you will handle: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams 5+ years on the tools preferred.
