Gas metal arc welder • Irele, Ondo State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Irele, Ondo State. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Day-to-day duties: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
