Production welder — Glasgow City

We are recruiting: we are hiring a production welder in Glasgow City, Scotland. You will work at a busy production line. The role involves: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Full-time with occasional weekends.
