Industrial sewing operator wanted in Argyll and Bute

Vacancy available: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Day to day you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go.
