Milling machine operator — Causeway Coast and Glens

Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Causeway Coast and Glens, Northern Ireland. The job is in a die and mould making unit. Requirements: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade The role involves measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
