Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Nelson County, Virginia. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
