GTAW welder — Passaic County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Passaic County, New Jersey. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding The role involves clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
