Refrigeration technician • Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a refrigeration technician in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. The job is in a commercial cold storage facility. Day to day you will pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; clean condenser and evaporator coils; wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil. What we are looking for: • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade Rotating shifts.
