Great opportunity: we are hiring a paint and prep technician in City of Fairfax, Virginia. You will work at an accident repair centre. Day to day you will blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch; mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio; wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs; compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss; mix and tint paint to match the customer's colour code. You should have: • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • Able to read and match factory paint codes 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
