Steel erection rigger wanted in Hamblen County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Hamblen County, Tennessee. You will be based at a busy construction site. Your main tasks: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
