Fabrication workshop technician wanted in Columbia County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Columbia County, Wisconsin. You will work at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. Day to day you will cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash. Requirements: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
