MIG welder wanted in Jefferson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a MIG welder in Jefferson County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
