You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Your main tasks: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Six days a week, one day off.
