Aluminium tig welder — Allegheny County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Part-time with flexible hours.
