Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Waller County, Texas. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
