Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Calhoun County, South Carolina. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers On the job you will handle: • Season and marinate meat on request • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts Six days a week, one day off.
