Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Pendleton County, Kentucky. The job is on an export house sewing floor. On a typical shift you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Six days a week, one day off.
