Pipe tig welder wanted in Ashtabula County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Ashtabula County, Ohio. The job is on an industrial construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
