Urgent requirement: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska. The job is in a job-work machining unit. Day-to-day duties: • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part Requirements: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Pay around $260 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
