Steel fixing chargehand — Richland County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Richland County, Montana. You will be based on a commercial tower construction site. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day-to-day duties: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat 4+ years on the tools preferred.
