Requirements: • Skilled with multimeter, test lamp and diagnostic scanner • Steady hands for soldering fine connections • Good colour vision for identifying wire colours Day-to-day duties: • Read wiring diagrams and trace circuits • Programme keys and reset immobilisers • Install alarms, immobilisers and central locking • Replace ABS, oxygen and crankshaft sensors • Repair headlights, indicators and brake-light circuits • Repair and re-tape damaged wiring looms Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
