Formwork carpenter • Franklin County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Franklin County, New York. You will work at a reinforced concrete building site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing The role involves read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
