Car refinisher — DeKalb County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a car refinisher in DeKalb County, Alabama. You will be based at an accident repair centre. Ideal candidate: • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners The role involves: • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper • Apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting 4+ years on the tools preferred.
