Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Obi, Nasarawa State. The job is at a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
