You should have: • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding You will replace brake pads, discs and callipers; replace shock absorbers, ball joints and track-rod ends; replace clutch plates and gearbox components; road-test vehicles to confirm the repair; trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems; carry out wheel alignment and tyre balancing.
