Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Allen County, Kansas. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Part-time with flexible hours.
