Great opportunity: we are hiring an uPVC window fitter in Union County, New Mexico. The job is at a glazing and fabrication factory. What we are looking for: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop Your main tasks: • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication Six days a week, one day off.
