You should have: • Working-at-height or scaffold safety certificate • Confident working at height on ladders and scaffolds • 2+ years' hands-on roofing experience The role involves: • Replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates • Insulate and ventilate the roof void • Carry out leak inspections and patch repairs • Fix clay and concrete tiles onto the battens • Set out battens to the correct gauge and spacing • Install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
