Immediate opening: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Queens County, New York. Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI in welder trade or equivalent You will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
