Cold room technician — Lisburn and Castlereagh

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cold room technician in Lisburn and Castlereagh, Northern Ireland. You will work at a busy refrigeration workshop. The role involves: • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge • Trace electrical circuits with a multimeter You should have: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns 6+ years on the tools preferred.
