What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; read lift plans and method statements before starting; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads.
