Press shop operator • Fayette County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a press shop operator in Fayette County, Illinois. You will work in a sheet metal stamping unit. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed You should have: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses 3+ years on the tools preferred.
