Steel fixer — Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat. You should have: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
