Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Fairfax County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
