Occupational health and safety officer — Grundy County

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Grundy County, Illinois. The job is on a high-rise building project. You will verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
