Urgent requirement: elevator repair technician (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Warren County, Illinois. The job is at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. The role involves: • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Run load and overload tests with test weights Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards We offer $24 per hour plus benefits.
