Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Borough of Torbay, England. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Pay around £16 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
