Great opportunity: fusing press operator (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Alleghany County, North Carolina. You will be based in a garment export house. On a typical shift you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Part-time with flexible hours.
