Immediate opening: we are hiring a halal butcher in Borough of Bury, England. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day-to-day duties: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights What we are looking for: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Full-time with occasional weekends.
