Reinforcement fitter — Northwest Arctic Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day to day you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
