We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Screven County, Georgia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight The role involves: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits.
