Cement mason — Sitka City and Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. On a typical shift you will erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
