We are recruiting: we are hiring a hand presser in Mason County, Michigan. The job is in a tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment 3+ years on the tools preferred.
