Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Monroe County, Illinois. Requirements: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork On a typical shift you will repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations. 6+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
